NOPD Looking for Purse Thieves in the First District

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is looking for information that can help identify subjects involved in a theft incident that occurred on November 10, 2019.

At around 7:46p.m., surveillance cameras captured the pictured unknown subjects stealing a purse from the “Holy Ground” bar located in the 3300 block of Canal Street.  The victim placed the purse in the chair next to where she was sitting, before the subjects took it and left the bar.  The victim tracked her Ipad, which was located inside of the purse, to Dmac’s bar.  The victim confronted the subjects, however they fled the scene.

The black male subject has a “nautical star” tattoo on his neck, and was wearing dark clothing.  The hispanic female subject is described as having a heavy build with long dark curly hair.  She was wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt.
