Subject Wanted for Simple Burglary on South Liberty Street

NOPD officers are searching for Gregory Jackson (DOB: 03/24/1963) after he reportedly burglarized a house that was undergoing renovations.

The reporting person told police that on October 24, 2018, at or around 8 a.m., he arrived to a house located in the 1800 block of S. Liberty Street to paint the inside of the property, when he discovered that the paint spraying machine was missing.

During the course of the investigation, the officer noticed there was a NOLA crime camera in the area. The officer contacted the Real Time Crime Center regarding the incident and was advised that at or around 7:38 p.m. an unknown black male subject entered the front door to the property and exited shortly after with a machine in hand, placing it in a wheel barrow, before fleeing the area.

Anyone with any information regarding Gregory Jackson’s whereabouts should notify Sixth District detectives at 504-658-6060. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
