On November 28, 2018, the NOPD arrested Shawn Moore (DOB: 10-01-1980) in connection with the theft of numerous items belonging to a hotel in the Seventh District.

At approximately 10:00 a.m., Seventh District officers were flagged down in reference to a burglary which occurred at a hotel in the 10100 block of South I-10 Service Road. Several cleaning items – which included a carpet cleaner and a pressure washer – as well as sheets, towels and several televisions were reported stolen from a secured storage area of the hotel.

Another Seventh District officer was also flagged down in reference to a subject being seen pushing a carpet cleaner and industrial laundry baskets down a street in the Seventh District. The officer canvassed the immediate area where the subject was last reported and observed a subject pushing the mentioned items while walking near the intersection of Christian Lane and Dwyer Road. The items – estimated at about $3,000 in value – were confirmed to be those reported stolen from the hotel and were returned to the hotel.

Moore was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for simple burglary.
