Auto Theft Reported on Sabine Street

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a subject who is responsible for committing an auto theft in the Fourth District.

The victim told police that he parked his 2017 black Nissan Altima in the 3200 block of Sabine Street on November 5, 2018. Upon returning to the area the next day, the victim discovered his vehicle was missing from in front the residence.

During the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance footage from this incident and observed an unknown subject enter the victim’s vehicle at or around 11:35 p.m. on November 5, 2018. The subject then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, heading toward Utah Street.

On November 6, 2018, at or around 6:51 p.m., officers located the stolen vehicle in the 6600 block of Dreux Avenue.
