Members of the NOPD TIGER Unit have arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the 2600 block of Soniat Street.

The victim told police that on November 13, 2018, at or around 6:20 p.m., she was on her porch when she was approached from behind by an unknown black male subject, who produced a handgun and demanded her car keys. The victim complied and the subject reportedly fled the scene in the victim’s 2007 white Toyota Prius.

On November 14, 2018, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Deputies located the Prius and notified NOPD officers. Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Deputies along with members of the NOPD TIGER Unit attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver led officers on a chase that ended with the occupants of the vehicle being apprehended.

The driver was positively identified as Donte Moore (DOB: 12/13/1997) and the passenger was identified as Prentiss Craft (DOB: 01/21/1991). As a result of the apprehension, search warrants were executed by Second District detectives, locating evidence linking the subjects to the armed robbery.

The subjects were transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center. Moore was charged with armed robbery with a gun and felon in possession of a firearm. Craft was charged with armed robbery with a gun.
