Suspect Wanted After Escaping from Police Custody

The NOPD Second District is searching for Joshua Womack (DOB: 07/18/95) after he escaped while in police custody.

The incident happened on November 13, 2017.  Second District officers responded to a drug violation in the 2700 block of General Ogden Street.  Officers then placed two subjects in handcuffs including Womack and transported them to the Second District station. Womack was then able to escape from police custody.

Once located, he’ll be arrested for a felon in possession of a firearm, simple escape and theft.
