NOPD Searching for Suspect in Shooting at Apricot and Eagle Streets

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying a suspect believed to be responsible for a shooting that occurred at the intersection of Apricot and Eagle streets today (November 4, 2017) and left a man injured.

At approximately 12:10 p.m., the victim was on a bicycle at the intersection. At that time, an unknown black male fired numerous shot at the victim, striking him twice. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital via private conveyance.

The suspect in this incident is described as a black male with a dark complexion, possibly in his 20s and armed with a long-barreled handgun at the time of the incident.
