11 Firearms Found on Suspect Arrested for Aggravated Battery, Distribution of Narcotics

The NOPD Seventh District arrested Tien Manh Do  (DOB: 2-19-79) today on multiple charges after he physically assaulted a victim on Chateau Court.

The incident happened on September 22, 2017. Tien Manh Do reportedly used a metal folding chair and firearm to physically assault a female victim until she was unconscious in the 13000 block of Chateau Court.  After the assault, Do then dragged the female victim out of the residence and placed her on the front lawn where she was discovered by responding Seventh District officers.

With the assistance of the VOWS Unit, a search warrant was executed today at Do’s residence where he was arrested.

During the search, officers confiscated 11 firearms, ammunitions, gun parts and a magazine. One of the weapons was determined to be a fully automatic firearm and another had an obliterated serial number. The search also revealed evidence of narcotic manufacture and sales.

Do was arrested for aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, simple criminal damage to property, possession of firearms while in possession of a controlled substance, firearm with obliterated serial number and possession with intent to distribute illegal narcotics.
