The NOPD is investigating a homicide that claimed the life of 25- year-old Christopher Steib and injured another victim.
At around 1:15 a.m., Fifth District officers responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of Spain Street. When officers arrived, they discovered one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound outside of the residence. Once officers relocated inside of the home, they discovered a second victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS transported both victims to hospital. One victim later died from his injuries at the hospital. The second victim is still in critical condition.
