The NOPD is investigating a homicide that took the life of a male victim.
At around 7:40 p.m., Sixth District officer responded to calls of shots fired at the intersection of Josephine and Reverend John Raphael Jr. Way. When officers arrived, they discovered a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds at the intersection. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS where he died from his injuries.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death.
