NOPD's Special Operations Division Tactical Teams I & II, assisted by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) & Kenner Police HSI Task Force members, ATF, Louisiana Probation & Parole, Louisiana State Police and NOPD Fifth District Investigators have arrested four men in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting and narcotics offenses.
The felony arrests occurred on May 13, 2026, in the 1400 block of Annette Street after the execution of four high-risk search warrants and five vehicle search warrants.
As a result of the search warrants, officers seized evidence related to a drive-by shooting in the 1700 block of North Claiborne Avenue on April 3, 2026. Confiscated were seven firearms, one of which was stolen, and various quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamines, and marijuana along with nearly $8,700 in cash.
Arrested were: Shawn Major (pictured, DOB: 9/5/1982). He is charged with aggravated second degree battery, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of methamphetamines and fentanyl.
Tron Hughes (pictured, DOB: 4/20/1980), is charged with 2 counts of aggravated second degree battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and obstruction of justice.
Corey Major (pictured, DOB: 5/28/1974), is charged with aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Lewis Wallace (pictured, DOB: 10/15/1984), is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl and possession of a stolen firearm.
All were booked accordingly into the Orleans Justice Center.
