NOPD Searching for Hit & Run Vehicle that Struck Woman Bicyclist

The New Orleans Police Department’s Hit and Run Section has identified a vehicle responsible for a Hit & Run that a left a woman bicyclist injured on  April 29, 2023, at the intersection of Esplanade and North Claiborne Avenues.

According to investigators, the victim was traveling at the intersection when she was struck by a white sedan, possibly an Acura, that was traveling eastbound on North Claiborne Avenue and did not stop after hitting the victim.

Emergency Medical Technicians transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Through investigation, Surveillance video of the incident was obtained that revealed the vehicle that hit the victim was a white sedan, with tinted windows and a sunroof.

Detectives are working to identify the pictured vehicle and the driver.
