NOPD Searching for Subject in False Public Record Investigation

The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a subject wanted in connection with a false Public Records filing investigation in the Fourth District.

Dawn Marie Robinson, (pictured, black female DOB: 4-25-1968) reported that she was allegedly robbed on April 23, 2023, in the 1000 block of Odeon Avenue around 9:00 p.m.

Robinson allegedly told officers that she was approached by an unknown male subject who demanded her jewelry and she complied.

Through investigation, it was determined that Robinson was in the presence of NOPD officers who were investigating a separate incident nearby, and that the robbery did not in fact occur.

Upon arrest, Robinson will be booked with 1 count of filing a false public record.

Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation or the whereabouts of Robinson is asked to contact any Fourth District Detective at (504) 658-6040 or  Crimestoppers anonymously at (504) 822-1111 or toll-free at 1(877) 903-7867.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
