NOPD Seeks Person of Interest in Homicide Investigation

Members of the New Orleans Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 23-year-old Leslea Grinstead for questioning as a person of interest in connection with the investigation of a homicide on May 16, 2022, in the 2000 block of Poland Avenue.

According to investigators, Fifth District officers responded to a call of a shooting and upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his body. Emergency Medical Technicians arrived on the scene and pronounced the man dead.

Leslea Grinstead is not sought on criminal charges at this time. However, detectives feel that she may have knowledge or information vital to the investigation and wish to interview her.
