NOPD Seeking Vehicle of Interest in Fourth District Catalytic Converter Theft

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying a vehicle of interest and its occupant(s) in the investigation of a theft of a catalytic converter in the 400 block of Seguin Street in the early hours on May 18, 2022.

NOPD’s Alternative Police Response Unit was notified at about 8:55 a.m. on May 18 that a victim in the was reporting that the catalytic convertor had been cut from her vehicle sometime during the overnight hours.

A suspect vehicle, described as a white Toyota Camry, had been spotted by neighbors in the area with its occupants reportedly crawling under parked vehicles.

Surveillance video of the vehicle of interest can be seen in the above player.

As of this writing, only one such incident in the area had been reported to police. However, investigation is ongoing as to If any additional vehicles in the area were burglarized in connection with this incident.
