Suspect Identified by NOPD in Fourth District Domestic Aggravated Assault

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Roy (pictured, black male, DOB: 04-14-1979) in the investigation of a domestic aggravated assault with a firearm on May 22, 2021 in the 1000 block of Thayer Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Fourth District detectives determined that Roy and the victim were engaged in a verbal argument over the telephone. During the argument, Roy allegedly made threats to harm the victim. Later that same night, the victim was outside of her residence when Roy allegedly arrived at the victim’s residence in an automobile. The victim said that Roy then raised an object believed to be a handgun. The victim then reportedly fled inside the residence and closed the door, adding that she heard one gunshot coming from outside. Roy then allegedly left the location.
