NOPD Seeking to Identify Suspect in First District Armed Carjacking

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect in the ongoing investigation of an armed carjacking incident on April 14, 2021 in the 1800 block of Saint Ann Street.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., the victim was sitting inside of his delivery vehicle awaiting another delivery driver. After completing their transaction, the pictured reportedly approached the victim on foot while pointing a firearm at the delivery vehicle. The suspect allegedly entered the truck as the victim exited and fled the location in the victim’s vehicle. Minutes later, the truck was found unoccupied and discovered to have crashed into multiple vehicles in the 1300 block of North Derbigny Street.

The victim was seen arriving to the location in the pictured older model gray Nissan with heavy damage to its front end.

Anyone with additional information on this incident or the pictured suspect is asked to contact NOPD First District detectives at 504-658-6010 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
