NOPD Seeking Suspect in Fourth District Aggravated Assault

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating and identifying a suspect in the ongoing investigation of an aggravated assault with a firearm on April 27, 2021 in the 3000 block of General DeGaulle Drive.

At about 10:50 a.m., two black male subjects arrived at a local mechanic shop in a white Ford F150 truck. The driver of the truck allegedly attempted to remove a carjack from the business and was confronted by the victim. A verbal argument then ensued between the victim and the driver. At that time, the passenger in the truck (pictured above) reportedly exited the truck with a large firearm and threatened the victim. The two subjects then entered the white truck and fled the location.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Darryl Powe (photo not available, black male, DOB; 08-29-1996) has been arrested in connection with this incident. However, the second suspect remains at large.

Anyone with additional information on this incident or the pictured suspect is asked to contact NOPD Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
