Two Suspects Arrested in Sixth District Simple Burglary

The NOPD has arrested Jeffrey Jackson (pictured at left, DOB: 05-06-2000) and Dejour Brown (pictured at right, DOB: 06-04-2001) in the investigation of a simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling that occurred on May 1, 2020 in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

At about 3:50 p.m., NOPD Sixth District officers responded to a reported residence burglary in the block.  Officers observed two subjects were observed leaving an apartment complex and going to a nearby vehicle, where an item was placed inside. The victim reported her apartment was burglarized during the time frame. After a search warrant was executed on the vehicle used by the two subjects, officers located within the vehicle the victim’s belongings that were reported stolen.  The two subjects – later identified as Jackson and Brown – were arrested and booked for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
