Suspect Arrested for Vehicle Burglaries in Fifth District Roosevelt

NOPD officers have arrested Roosevelt Johnson (DOB: 08/07/1963) in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries that occurred Saturday (May 16, 2020) morning near the intersection of Lizardi and North Miro streets.

At or around 3:48 a.m., Fifth District officers responded to a suspicious persons call about an unknown subject pulling on car door handles in the area. Upon arrival, officers located Johnson, who was positively identified as the person responsible for pulling on car door handles and entering vehicles. The suspect was also in possession of stolen property from multiple vehicles in the area.

Johnson was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center where he was booked with three counts of simple burglary of a vehicle.
