NOPD Arrests Second Subject in Fourth District Double Homicide

A second subject is now in custody and will be charged in connection with a double homicide that occurred Monday, May 11, 2020 in the Fourth District.

Rodney Steadman (B/M DOB: 11/5/1996) was arrested Thursday night in Houston, Texas. He was taken into custody by the Houston Police Department.

Rodney Steadman will be charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted second-degree murder.

Earlier this week, shortly after the incident occurred, Ronjae Steadman (B/M DOB: 4/20/2001) was arrested. Ronjae Steadman is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder, and one count of second-degree kidnapping.

In that incident, which occurred in the 2000 block of Lebeouf Street, a 3-year-old male victim and a 23-year-old male victim were killed. A 48-year-old female victim was also wounded by gunfire during the incident.

Investigators are still searching for a third wanted subject.

Razaq Adekunle (B/M DOB: 7/5/2000) is wanted for two counts of second-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder, and one count of second-degree kidnapping.
