NOPD Seeking Suspect in Sixth District Simple Burglary

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a subject believed to be responsible for a simple burglary in the 2100 block of Louisiana Avenue on May 17, 2019.

At about 7:40 a.m., the reporting person arrived to a residence under renovation in the 2100 block of Louisiana Avenue. The reporting person observed both front doors ajar and several power tools missing from inside.

On May 16, at about 8:48 p.m., the pictured suspect was observed on security footage leaving the residence with a hand truck containing several items and fleeing west bound on Loyola Avenue on foot.

That same day, at about 11:58 p.m., the suspect returned to the location on a bicycle and re-rented the residence. After about 30 minutes, the subject exited with an unknown number of items fled south bound on Louisiana Avenue. 

The subject is described as an unknown black male with a medium to dark complexion, seen wearing a blue t-shirt with white graphics, black and gold “New Orleans” hat and dark jeans. The subject was also seen riding a blue bicycle.
