NOPD Seeking Subjects in Eighth District Aggravated Assault

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating and identifying two subjects in the investigation of an aggravated assault incident that occurred on May 25, 2019 in the 1200 block of Decatur Street.

The victim told police that at about 4:36 a.m., he was walking in the 1200 block of Decatur Street when he observed an unknown black male wearing a white shirt and light blue pants arguing with an unknown black female wearing a dark colored shirt and camouflage pants. The victim said he then saw the male subject pulling on business door handles and punching business windows in the block and asked the subject why he was punching the window. The subject allegedly responded to the victim with a verbal threat and then produced a handgun from his waistband. The victim then fled the location on foot, with the subject allegedly chasing him for about two blocks before the victim escaped.

When located, the male subject will be arrested for aggravated assault. The female subject is sought for questioning in this investigation.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident or the pictured subjects is asked to contact NOPD Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080, or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
