NOPD Searching for Suspect in Seventh District Business Burglary

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Michael Picot (DOB: 06-28-1967) in the investigation of a business burglary which occurred on April 29, 2019 in the 6700 block of Tara Lane.

Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives determined that at approximately 8:35 p.m., Picot committed a business burglary at a business in the block. During the course of the burglary, the owner of the business reportedly shot Picot in the leg. Picot was later transported to a hospital for treatment. A warrant was obtained for the subject’s arrest. However, the subject was discharged from the hospital before he could be arrested and remains at large as of this writing.

When located, Picot will be arrested for simple burglary.
