NOPD Investigating Homicide on Willow Street

NOPD Investigating Homicide on Willow Street

The NOPD is investigating a shooting that occurred tonight, May 21, 2019 in the 2100 block of Willow Street. that left a 31-year-old male victim dead.

At about 11:13 p.m., Sixth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the area. The adult male victim was located outside and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital via EMS. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as motive. No further information is available at this time.

 

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine the decedent’s official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
