ARRESTED: NOPD Makes Quick Arrest in Attempted Residential Burglary on Werner Drive

NOPD officers have arrested Nicholas Davis (DOB: 04/06/1994) after his alleged involvement in an attempted residential burglary that occurred in the 4500 block of Werner Drive.

On May 5, 2019 around 11:10 a.m., the victim was inside of her residence when she heard a loud noise. The victim reportedly exited the side door of her residence and observed an unknown black male with a rock in his hand breaking a window pane on the rear window. The victim stated that she contacted the police and the subject fled the scene.

The responding officers relocated to a store near the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Werner Drive and instructed the suspect to place his hands behind his back, at which time the subject fled the location.

Officers relocated to the 4400 block of Dodt Avenue and located the suspect. Davis was apprehended and transported to the Orleans Justice Center where he was booked accordingly.
