NOPD Searching for Vehicle of Interest in Shooting on Woodland Drive

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying the occupant(s) of a vehicle of interest in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred on May 12, 2018 in the 4400 block of Woodland Drive.

The victim told police that at about 4 p.m., he was traveling south on Woodland Drive on his bicycle when he was approached by a vehicle from the front. As the vehicle drove past him, the victim said, a subject inside of the vehicle fired three shots at him from within the vehicle. One of the bullets fired struck the victim once on his left side. The victim fell off on his bicycle and ran to the intersection of Woodland and Tullis Drive, where he requested EMS.

The vehicle of interest, pictured above in surveillance footage, was described by a witness as a late model tan Chevrolet Malibu with a black front bumper.
