NOPD Identifies Suspect in Theft on Cypress Acres Drive

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Asa Augusta (DOB: 07-15-1981) in connection with a theft incident that occurred in the 2000 block of Cypress Acres Drive on May 18, 2018, where the victim reported a theft of several pieces of jewelry and electronic items.

During the course of investigation, Fourth District detectives determined that Augusta – identified as the victim’s ex-boyfirend – was the perpetrator in this incident and reportedly later pawned the items in Jefferson Parish.

When located, Augusta will be arrested and booked for theft.
