NOPD Identifies Suspect in Auto Theft, Theft on MacArthur Boulevard

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Bridget Smith (DOB: 11-15-1981) in connection with an incident that occurred in the 3600 block of MacArthur Boulevard on May 29, 2018.

The victim told police that at about 6:07 p.m., he had forgotten his vehicle keys on the counter of a business in the area. When he realized what had happened, he said, he went back to the business to retrieve the keys and discovered the keys to be missing. The victim said he canvassed the store, but did not find the keys. When the victim exited the business, he found his vehicle missing.

A review of video surveillance showed a subject later positively identified as Smith taking the keys from the business and exiting the business.

Smith is wanted for theft of a motor vehicle, as well as theft pertaining to the taking of the victim’s keys.
