Suspect Wanted in Auto Burglary on Octavia Street

The NOPD is seeking information to help identify and locate a suspect captured on surveillance video in commission of an auto burglary in the 3000 block of Octavia Street on May 16, 2017.

At about 12:47 a.m., an unidentified male was captured on surveillance video approaching a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the area. The individual is seen opening the door of the unlocked vehicle and entering the vehicle, taking a small purse from the center console before unsuccessfully attempting to open a second vehicle at the location. The subject then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male with a small and thin build. The suspect also has shoulder-length dreadlocked hair.
