Robbery Suspect Sought for Incident on Bourbon Street

NOPD needs the public’s assistance identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery in the Eighth District.

On May 17, 2017, the victim stated  she and a friend were walking in the 1000 block of Bourbon Street when they were approached by an unknown black male on a bicycle. He demanded their purses and implied he had a weapon, saying he would shoot them if they did not comply. The victim stated she punched the suspect and he grabbed her purse, which resulted in a struggle over possession of the purse. The purse strap broke and the victim’s belongings fell out of the purse onto the street. The suspect grabbed the victim’s cellphone and fled the location.
