Person of Interest Sought for Questioning in NOPD Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a person of interest for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide on February 9, 2022, at the intersection of Old Gentilly and France roads.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have developed Christopher Mitchell (pictured, black male, DOB: 10-17-1990, 5’4”, 150 pounds) as a person of interest. Mitchell is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives believe that he has knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
