NOPD Investigating Homicide in Third District, Seeking Suspect Vehicle

NOPD Investigating Homicide in Third District, Seeking Suspect Vehicle

Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a double shooting that left an unknown man dead and an unknown woman injured. The offense occurred on today, March 23, 2022, at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Providence Place.

According to investigators, shortly before 9:00 A.M., Third District officers responded to a call of a shooting and upon their arrival, officers located the woman lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her body and the man was located inside of a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his head. The woman was transported to a local hospital and currently listed in critical condition.

Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives identified the suspect’s vehicle as a black Ford F-150 truck (pictured).

Detectives are in the process of gathering information to identify the person(s) responsible and a motive.
