NOPD Identifies Wanted Suspect in Eighth District Aggravated Assault

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Thomas Allan Cory (pictured, white male, DOB: 03-18-1975) in the investigation of an aggravated assault with a firearm on March 18, 2022, in the 400 block of Burgundy Street.

NOPD Eighth District detectives have determined through investigation that at about 5:00 a.m., Cory allegedly pointed a firearm at a male and female victim and threatened to shoot them. Cory then is believed to have struck the female victim to her face, which caused her to fall to the ground and sustain head injuries which necessitated hospitalization.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Cory, believed to be a resident of Hampshire, Tenn. –  for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of second-degree aggravated battery.
