NOPD Searching for Suspect in Third District Aggravated Assault, Vehicle Theft

The NOPD is seeking to locate a suspect in the investigation of an aggravated assault with a firearm and vehicle theft incident on March 8, 2021 in the 3100 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.

At about 5:51 pm, the wanted subject captured in the photo entered the victim’s unoccupied and unlocked red 2015 Chevrolet Silverado (Texas temporary license tag T01528P9) and sat in the driver’s seat. The keys had been left in the victim’s ignition. The victim observed the incident and attempted to gain entry through the driver’s door. At that time, the wanted subject pointed a handgun at the victim and drove away from the scene on Interstate 610.

The pictured suspect is identified as an unknown black male, possibly 18-20 years of age, brown complexion, athletic build. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black cap, black pants, and black and white shoes.
