Suspect Wanted for Theft on Saint Charles Avenue

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating the pictured subject after he was accused of stealing a victim’s wallet from a business located in the 7100 block of Saint Charles Avenue.

On March 2, 2019, at around 7:31 p.m., the victim reportedly left his wallet on the counter after making a transaction. When the victim realized his wallet was missing, he relocated to the business and discovered that his wallet was no longer at the counter and contacted police.

During the course of the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance footage from the business and observed an unknown white male take the victim’s wallet from the counter and remove an unknown amount of cash to pay for his merchandise. The subject then exited the store with the victim’s wallet.

The perpetrator is described as approximately 20-25 years of age, medium build with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and blue jeans with multiple Mardi Gras beads around his neck.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the pictured subject should notify Second District detectives at 504-658-6020. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
