The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a subject sought in the investigation of a theft that occurred in the 0 block of Canal Street on February 19, 2019.
At about 6:39 a.m., the victim was inside of Harrah’s Casino when she reportedly placed her money on top of a slot machine. As the victim was looking into her purse, an unknown male allegedly walked by and grabbed the money from the top of the machine. The victim reportedly confronted the subject, who denied taking the money. The subject then reportedly exited the casino onto Canal Street at about 6:55 a.m. and proceeded to South Peters Street, where he entered a light-colored minivan and left the scene.
