NOPD Identifies Suspect in Unarmed Carjacking

NOPD Identifies Suspect in Unarmed Carjacking

NOPD officers are searching for the pictured subject after his alleged involvement in an unarmed carjacking that occurred near the intersection of Burgundy and Toulouse streets.

The victim told police that on January 19, 2019 around 7:30 a.m. he was inside of his vehicle when he was approached by two unknown black males. One of the subjects reportedly threw the victim out of the vehicle and removed his car keys. Both subjects then fled the scene in the victim's vehicle.

On February 4, 2019 around 11:10 a.m. the victim’s vehicle was located near the intersection of Carnot and Lafaye streets with no license plate. Through further investigation, officers learned that Kahliq Williams (DOB: 11/26/1999) was in possession of the stolen vehicle.
