NOPD Arrests Suspect in Eighth District Aggravated Rape

The NOPD has arrested Kenneth “Kenny” Ray Barber (DOB: 08-01-1978) in the investigation of an aggravated rape that occurred in the 0 block of Canal Street on October 15, 2018.

The victim advised she was sexually assaulted by an unknown black male at the above listed location.

As investigation into the incident progressed, NOPD Sex Crimes Unit detectives were able to develop Barber as the suspected perpetrator and obtain a warrant for his arrest on a charge of first degree rape.

Barber was arrested on March 15, 2019 and booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
