The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect who is wanted for his involvement in an aggravated assault by shooting incident that occurred in the 900 block of Walker Street.

The incident happened on Wednesday, (March 21) at or around 2:30 p.m. The reporting person told police she arrived home and entered her residence momentarily to bring bags inside, leaving her vehicle unlocked.

Upon exiting her residence, the victim observed a black Audi Q5 SUV parked parallel to her vehicle and several unknown subjects searching her vehicle. The victim told the subjects to get out of her car, at which time one of the perpetrators fired a shot in her direction while running to the getaway car.

The vehicle of interest bearing Louisiana license plate # ZFS111 was previously reported stolen from the 300 block of Lowerline Street on Tuesday, (March 20).
