Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Assault Involving Firearm on Westpark Court

The NOPD is searching for Anthony Terrell Simms Jr. (DOB: 09/21/90) for his involvement in a domestic aggravated assault incident involving a firearm.

The incident happened on March 28, 2018. At around 4 p.m., the victim and Simms got into a verbal argument in the 10 block of Westpark Court. Simms then left but returned when he discovered the victim left the location to get food for her children. The victim was notified by her children that Simms had arrived back to the residence and was attempting to gain entry. The victim was able to relocate back to the residence as Simms was breaking a rear window with a firearm to gain entry.

He then started choking the victim while pointing a firearm at her and demanding the whereabouts of a duffle bag inside the residence. The victim informed the subject of where the bag was located. At that time, he took the bag and fled the location.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Anthony Simms should contact any Fourth District detective at 504-658-6040, or anonymously contact CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-7867.
