NOPD VOWS Unit Arrests Suspect for Second Degree Murder

The NOPD VOWS Unit, U.S. Marshals and members of Homicide unit arrested a man wanted in connection with a Seventh District homicide.

 

Brice George, (B/M DOB: 01/18/1989), was taken into custody on a charge of second-degree murder for an incident that occurred on June 16, 2016 in the 6800 block of Tara Lane.

 

George was apprehended in the 7800 block of Pyramid Drive in the Seventh District.

 

George was additionally arrested for Felon in Possession of Firearm (.380, Bersa Thunder, semi-auto handgun w/green handle, black finish under item# C-34359-18).

 

At about 11:52 a.m. on the morning of June 16, 2016, Seventh District officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 6800 block of Tara Lane.

 

Upon arrival, they discovered the victim in the front yard of a residence and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim died at the scene.
