NOPD VOWS Officers Arrest Suspect in Fourth District Homicide

The NOPD VOWS Unit arrested Alquan Johnson (DOB: 06-25-1998) for second degree murder in connection to an incident that occurred in the 1600 block of Flanders Street.

On Thursday, January 11, 2018, Fourth District officers responded to a call reporting shots fired in the area. The signal was later updated to a homicide.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim lying face down in a ditch, next to a running vehicle and a female that was sitting next to the victim.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Johnson was arrested on Wednesday, March 7 in the 1100 block of Clouet Street. Johnson was wanted by Detective Joseph Jefferson.
