NOPD VOWS Officers Arrest Subject in Aggravated Assault Incident

The NOPD VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshalls arrested Eugene Scarborough (DOB: 07-11-1986) in an aggravated assault incident that occurred near the intersection of N. Galvez and Painters Streets.

On Monday, February 19, 2018, Fifth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated assault at or about 4:30 p.m. The victim told police she was driving eastbound on N. Galvez Street when Scarborough stood in front of her vehicle with a black handgun and reportedly threatened to kill the victim and her children who were inside the vehicle during the incident.

Scarborough was located on Wednesday, March 14. The subject was wanted by Fifth District Officer Yaron Pierre. Officers obtained a search warrant and located Scarborough hiding inside a sofa in a residence.

Scarborough was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic abuse battery, simple assault, criminal damage to property and a parole violation for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
