NOPD Searching for Vehicle Reported Stolen in Carjacking on Palmyra Street

The NOPD is seeking information to assist in locating a vehicle reported stolen during an carjacking incident on March 6, 2018 in the 2600 block of Palmyra Street.

The victim told police that at about 8:55 p.m., he was sitting in his dark blue 2006 Nissan Sentra (no license plate information available) when he was approached by two unknown males wearing masks. The unknown subjects then reportedly demanded the victim exit the vehicle, to which the victim complied. The subject then entered the vehicle and fled the scene heading south on Palmyra Street, turning left onto South Rocheblave Street and then in an unknown direction.

A photo is included of a vehicle similar in color, year, make and model to the vehicle reported stolen in this incident.

Anyone who can provide information on the incident or the location of the above described vehicle is asked to contact First District detectives at 504-685-6010 or call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or 1-877-903-7867.
