NOPD Searches for Subject in Fifth District Armed Robbery

NOPD Searches for Subject in Fifth District Armed Robbery

The NOPD is searching for a subject wanted in connection with a Fifth District armed robbery.

 

The incident occurred on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 4:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of Alvar Street.

 

The victim confronted the wanted subject, later identified as Byron Strong (B/M DOB: 01-15-1984), after learning Strong may have been responsible for burglarizing his residence in the past.

 

The victim stated once he confronted Strong, he produced a firearm from a nearby vehicle.

 

The victim said Strong placed the barrel of the firearm to his left temple and stated “I will kill you.”

 

The victim then said Strong demanded his bicycle.

 

The victim complied and Strong rode away on the victim’s bike.

 

Strong was positively identified as the perpetrator of this incident and is wanted for armed robbery with a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
