NOPD officers arrested Kevin Williams (DOB: 09-21-1981) on Wednesday, (March 21) in connection with an aggravated battery by cutting incident that occurred in the Seventh District.
The incident happened on Sunday, (March 18) in the 7500 block of Avon Park Boulevard. The victim told police he was at the home of his girlfriend when Williams arrived and knocked on the front door. The victim let Williams into the house to have a conversation and a physical altercation took place.
Williams went into the kitchen to retrieve a knife and attempted to attack the victim. The victim tried to stop the attack, at which time he was stabbed once in the back. The suspect then fled the residence heading in an unknown direction.
Seventh District officers located Williams in the 7200 block of Crowder Boulevard. The subject was observed attempting to leave the location and he failed to comply with officers' commands to submit. The officers successfully apprehended the subject and placed him under arrest.
Williams was transported to Central Lockup and charged with aggravated battery, flight from an officer and two counts of misapplication of payments relative to residential contractor fraud.
