UPDATED: Vehicle Burglary Suspect Arrested in Incident on General Degaulle Drive

UPDATED: The NOPD arrested Tojohnica Newman (DOB: 02-02-1991) on March 27, 2017, in connection with a vehicle burglary that occurred on March 7, 2017 in the 3000 block of General Degaulle Drive.

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Tojohnica Newman (DOB: 02-02-1991) in connection with a vehicle burglary that occurred on March 7, 2017 in the 3000 block of General Degaulle Drive.

At about 6:45 p.m., the victim parked the vehicle in the area. As the victim was attending to business, she observed the suspect – later identified as Newman – open the vehicle’s door and take the victim’s purse from the front passenger’s seat. The wanted subject then entered an unknown white vehicle and fled the area.
