The NOPD is searching for a suspect after he was seen on surveillance video trying to break into a business by using a trash can.
The incident happened on March 7, 2017. At about 4:25 a.m., a Chevrolet Impala vehicle pulled in front of the business in the 1400 block of Teche Street. An unknown male was then seen exiting the vehicle and walking into the gate of the business. The unknown subject then took a garbage can which was located in the front of the business and used it to try to open the front security iron door. Officers observed marks near the door lock. The suspect then fled the scene after being unable to gain entry into the business.
