Today, the NOPD announced the arrest of five suspects in its investigation of a homicide that occurred on April 14, 2024, in the 800 block of South Peters Street. The arrests came as a result of a multi-agency operation that spanned multiple parishes in the New Orleans area.
At about 11:51 p.m. on April 14, 2024, a large crowd was gathered on the sidewalk outside The Republic nightclub in the 800 block of South Peters Street, when the occupants of a vehicle opened fire and into the crowd, appearing to target individuals waiting to enter the nightclub. NOPD and New Orleans EMS responded to the scene, provided aid to the victims, and preserved critical evidence for the investigation.
A total of 12 people sustained gunshot-related injuries. One of the victims, an adult female, was later pronounced deceased from a result of her injuries. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased victim as then 27-year-old Jezreel Poleate.
During an investigation spanning 26 months from the incident until current day, the NOPD worked with its law enforcement partners at Louisiana State Police, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies to tirelessly document portions of the crime and collectively investigate the incident. Through an extensive investigation that included the collection and review of video evidence, dozens of search warrants, the collection and review of digital and forensic data, interviews, covert surveillance and other investigatory methods, NOPD Homicide Section Det. Donald Willyard and other assisting investigators identified and obtained arrest warrants for five suspects in this incident.
This morning, the investigation culminated with an extensive law enforcement operation involving the execution of four high-risk search warrants spanning three parishes. This operation resulted in the arrest of the following suspects:
- Michael Anthony Clavo III (black male, DOB: 02-03-2004) was arrested in the 2300 block of Jay Street in Slidell, LA. Clavo was booked with one count of second-degree murder, 11 counts of aggravated second-degree battery and one count of obstruction of justice.
- Dandrick Montero Green (black male, DOB: 07-10-2000) was arrested in the 200 block of Amber Court in Slidell, LA. Green was booked with one count of second-degree murder, 11 counts of aggravated second-degree battery and one count of obstruction of justice.
- Corey Hassan Dentrell Patton (black male, DOB: 05-27-1997) was arrested in the 7500 block of Wave Drive in New Orleans. Patton was booked with one count of criminal conspiracy to commit second-degree murder and 11 counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated second-degree battery.
- Brian Rashad Webb (black male, DOB: 02-12-1997) was arrested in the 300 block of Lac Cypriere Drive in Luling, LA. Webb was booked with one count of second-degree murder, 11 counts of aggravated second-degree battery and one count of obstruction of justice.
- Jeremy Jamal Williams, black male, DOB: 06-22-1989), who is currently incarcerated in the custody of the Louisiana Department of Corrections on unrelated charges. He will be re-booked with one count of criminal conspiracy to commit second-degree murder and 11 counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated second-degree battery
